Need help with RoF, FPS, and electrical problems.
Recently I had my TM M4A1 upgraded at AirsoftExtreme (San Jose), and I had a Systema/Guarder M100 & metal bushings installed. I bought a 9.6V battery thinking I'd need it to compensate for the spring lowering the rate of fire. I've been using my M4 for a couple months, and already I've blown two fuses (both blew after a 30-second timeframe of 3-round bursts with short pauses in between bursts).

Maintain FPS: Dont open the gearbox.

I'm using a mini NiMH (fits in the foregrip of the gun)

Try using a 9.6v nun-chuck style ni-cad. They work a lot better than nimh batteries for ROF. As far as the fuse, no. It will protect the motor and wiring if your gun locks up and you keep pulling the trigger like an idiot :D . If the gun locks, and you keep pulling the trigger, you are basically short-circuiting the system. So as long as you dont do that, you dont need a fuse. I dont run a fuse in any of my guns nor do anyone else I know.

you're running a 9.6 with an M100 on what i'm guessing stock gears (since you said nothing else) and you want a HIGHER ROF? you are always going to have problems. if you decide to keep the fuse, switch to a 30 amp quick burn. otherwise take it out all together. but if you necessitate a higher ROF than the setup you already have, better start getting used to working on your own gearbox.
Hmm...so I should:

I got rid of my fuse and soldered my connections and it about double my rate of fire.

I agree, My aeg is an ICS M4 so the forward assist actually releases the spring tension when pushed so I don't worry about lockups.
Thx, snoopy...I sortof was thinking "the fuse is there for a reason...most likely to protect the motor..." -- the reason I never removed it.

Yeah I'm sortof hoping that (once I get this stuff figured out) I can get a huge hicap and play a support (poor man's SAW) role...

Well, I've repaired a few upgraded guns that were poppin fuses. 1st thing I checked was the shim job. All were to tight. Reshimed and put in a new fuse and presto! Gun works fine.
[quote="CAIN"]The motor draws the least amps after it been turning a bit. Draws the most amps on the 1st trigger pull.
