Looking to get an M4 but need some help
I am looking into starting to come out and shoot with you guys and need some help on getting a gun. I want to get a M4 but want one that will be able to be a god all around gun. A good CQB as well as a open ground gun. Something that I can upgrade the internals and the outside as well. I would rather spend a little more up front than spend a bunch in the end to make it a good all around gun. I like the G&P CQBR size and layout but would like to hear from those of you that have been into airsoft for a while and get your .02
m4's are undoubtably the most customizable rifles on the market. the tokyo marui m4 is all plastic, but has extremely well built internals that you can count on forever. it comes shooting 285fps stock, which isnt exactly desirable, but with a bit of money that can be changed.
And shephards we will be.
Get either the TM m4 or the CA m15a4 CQB version,, the CQB versions stock with a short barrel, ris, crane stock for the large battery and myabe few other thing. It also Classic army so the body is metal, The TM is also great, u can set it up any way u want and its TM so they are the best for upradeing. The site is cluttered up with post aobut which is better so im not gona elaboarate on it, but do search and that should help u decide.
if you want an all around gun and are willing to spend some cash buy a tokyo marui m733 (shortened m4) and put a hurricane metal body on it.
I happen to have a TM M4a1 w/ hurricane metal body for sale =)
I also have a m4 for sale. its upgraded to 400fps but if you wanted to get it to shoot 350fps it would only cost you 16$ on a new spring. 250$ and I will throw in a a 9.6 3300 battery.
"And when he gets to Heaven To Saint Peter he will tell: One more soldier reporting, Sir -I've served my time in Hell."
is it easy to change out the barrel or stock if I wanted to or are you stuck with the size that you buy?
outer barrel assemblies are interchangable...
my vote is get a TM M4/varient and keep it stock until something breaks. that's a good time to do some internal upgrades.
"Guns don't kill people. People kill people."
why keep it stock, when u upgrade sure it gona take some life out of it but if u havea stock gun against a gun shooting 400 fps, upgraded with tight bore, and all that shit odds are if u get caught in a fire fight with him u wont win unless hes crosseyes and cant shoot straight. esspecially since hes got the distance and accuracy on a stock gun, thats my 2 cents.
ok so I get the idea here. But what about the stock if I got one with a fixed stock can I switch it out for a carbine style or any other??? I was looking at G&P are they good they seem to have good fps out of the box and metal construction is good cus I'm not all that careful.
Don't buy anything but tm. I have owned every make of gun and they all suck except for tm. unless you want a broken gun buy tm. even though you will have to buy a metal body in the long run it will be worth it
hmm thats not closeminded... anyway id almost agree. tm and ca are the only brands ill buy aeg's from. if youve got knoweldge about airsoft guns you can keep almost any gun working, as apposed to paying obsene amounts of money keeping it fixed. its worth it to learn about the internals and such. just know your rifle.

im getting the CQB and ive shot it and everything like that and its a GREAT gun so if ur deciding between a CQB and a TM M4 i would get the CQB but thats just my oppinion
Thanks for the input from you all. It's clear as mud now. Just kidding
As said, the new TM m4's are TM's. No idea when they are coming out. In the states that is. Hopefully within a few weeks.

If you've got the money, buy a TM SR-16 and a Hurricane Knight SR-16 MBK.
