That's pretty subjective. In terms of guns with the least amount of problems, that are pretty sturdy out of the box, are easy to upgrade and that just generally reek of quality, these are my choices:

yeah, TM has some great stuff but i think that the CA aramlite series is better out of the box. I've owned some TM guns and they've taken a helluva beating but if i were you i would get a CA M15. i love em, they're excellent.

What ever gun you go with, get a TM...All AEG's shoot around the same stock, its just the way it looks, and how comftorable it is in your hands.Thats probably the only difference, other than some recent guns come with the EG1000.I really cant tell the difference from a EG700,and a EG1000 :D

Personally i have owned a few of each. I am a firm believer in not starting out with a ICS, they tend to need much care and attention, which is not available from a new airsofter. I think CA are starting to progress and sort out all of their bugs in the internals. I find it is a hit or miss with the older CAs and a pretty good chance with the newer ones. (decided to try one out again and i just bought fergs). :D happy man. Great deal! thanks a bunch. Anyway Id have to say the best bet for the "best gun on the market" would have to be a good ol TM. They have never done me wrong. At least not as much as an ICS. anyway hope that helps and hope im not too far off from other peoples opinions. I just think it has a lot to do with the experiance factor, how they are maintained, how mcuh they are used, and so on. anyway good luck on getting that gun.

CA's are great out of the box, feel more realistic, got the bulk and the weight (if you like heavy guns). TM's last almost forever, too much of a plastical feel, very dependable and to me, TM seems quieter than CA's. CA's are easier to upgrade with the parts they already have in them. Add a spring and you are good to go, but watch out for their pistons.
