Socom 16...
Anyone here have any experience with this G&G? And, for those of you who have m14's, should I have bought the longer version?
lol the socom 16 is a short m14, so i didnt get one. its longer than most CQB guns but its inner barrel is shorter.
And shephards we will be.
if you dont like it you can buy the conversion kit to make it the standerd m14 :D
I had one...loved it...great ROF with a 9.6 battery..one of the most solid feeling guns I've owned, pretty darn accurate with a tight bore...I hated selling it but I was turned into the designated SAW gunner and never used it :(

ridiculous, a 150? what fps at that point?
man, it has to be close to 500 at that point.
no wonder the box was crappy the 150 spring destroyed it
The FPS was something like 520 with .25's...yeah it was pretty sick..lol

what kind of gears are in the box ????? normally the piston fails first but correct me if im am wrong.
far as I know they come with stock gears, maybe geared a little more towards speed than torque. But with a gun that screams sniping at you its hard not to fight the urge to drop a big spring in it.

i also had one and it worked just fine for me. never got to skirmish with it, but with 9.6 it was chronoed at around 340-350. the only reason i traded it was because i only played CQB and an m14 isnt really the rifle of choice for such engagments.

the socom 16 is real, as seen in the post above, almost every gun store I have been to in the area has had one for at least the past four months bud...
theres a real one in the gun store near me
ive got the full m14, and ive only scrimished with it once. as of now, its still stock, but shooting 340 fps on a 9.6v. for now, i mounted a aimpoint on it, and had it sighted fairly well. great accuracy for a stock barrel, even though i would like to drop in a tb. the issues im having are with the selector switch, and when its set on full auto, the gun being selective when it wants to shoot. and that "realistic" trigger pull. yea, i want that changed, along with a faster trigger response overall
It's also known as the M1A Scout Rifle. It's seen more in the EBR Format

ya know that trigger pull aint nothing once someone starts shootin at you or you start engaging others.
