howdy guys just read some of the section ... just wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone and say I agree with picoy's statement... it looks very professional and well thought out.

i know i dont get out to play that often but since the beginning i have been picking the legal/liability stance that sacair has taken in regards to waivers and fields....personally i think their is no reason to carry firearms on/at airsoft events but viper has a point about everyone making personal choices in regards to safety...while bringing all the local airsoft events under one roof was part of the reason for starting sacair i agree that the non-sacair events on our boards should be limited to pay-and-play events like Ord...those events are mostly well managed and by them accepting money means the liability fall to them...if someone chooses to sue sacair the liability will rest mostly with the person organizing the event on-site and not the admins who were not present...it is nice to know that if anyone gets sued it will be steve, mike and myself...so picoy fear not unless you are there when the shit hits the proverbial fan

I am about to pull the plug on non-sacair events. Where the forum used to be I am going to put picoy's statement up. Erik

If your gonna do it, do it soon before more games are posted.

Yeah but I don't want to pull the plug without every one knowing about it first. I will say then that it will be gone by thursday.

So I know there is a issue with the non-sacair forums, is it a consensus to just pull the plug on the forum altogether?

I was talking to one of my chuch members who is in law school about our issues, and he suggested the same thing that was proposed earlier - we need to spend some coin (about $120-150) and get a professional legal opponion on this.

I was kind of under the impression that views/opinions/arrangements in a public forum were those of the owners.

Should the admins discuss this more before we go ahead and post the notice that we are going to close the non-sacairsoft game forum? I can post if you like, should we say the decision was made by all the admins?

Well only a few admins are posting up. But it seems that the ones that are are for protecting the peeps playing and sacair. If there is a way to keep the forum and protect ourselves I say I am all for it. The money is no biggie we can raise that. But it until we get some legal advice I say we protect ourselves. The guys running these games are minors, I beleive, which is fine but they have demonstrated that they are not responcible enough to do so. So till we get the legal standpoint then I say we close the forum till we have further info.

simply tell them it is closed until further notice, and we are seeking legal advise to protect us and them.

If you want I can submit the information right now on the home page of Sacairsoft.

He guys, just started reading the who forum. Tomorrow I will call my sister and see if she can recommend someone for a little advice. She's a lawyer (immigration law) but should know someone who can give some advice for free as a favor. I'll let you knw more tomorrow when I've spoken to her.
