Hurricane High-speed ratio gears

Feb 16, 2006 3:03am
Hello all. Recently I bought some upgrades for my TM M4A1. I bought "Hurricane Super Gear Set (High Speed Ratio)" from Redwolf, and I'm getting my gun upgraded at Gamepod. My gun will also be getting a 400fps upgrade.

well with me knowing craig very well and all the guys at gamepod...i can assure you thats not goin to happen...everything criag does he does like perfect....also everything that gamepod sells is personally tested by craig himself and if it doesnt past the "The Craig Test" then Gamepod doesnt sell it...anyway i can personally assure that your gun will be fine....

I guess if/when these HurricanE gears strip, I should switch to Systema high-speed gears?

well being that u didnt buy the gears from gamepod i know that anything does happen its not from craig...also if anything happens i can almost guarrente( spelling lol) that he would prolly fix the problem for you for free...of course it has to be in a respectable amount of time after you get the gun ( in other words it cant be like months later lol) i think you get it...anyway hope it all works out for ya and i know craig WILL NOT let ya down

hey well i just stopped by Gamepod Today and Craig was working on your gun as a matter of fact....i personally whitness him take the whole gun apart twice just to make sure everything was perfect....also he took about 30 to 45min just to shim your gun and make perfect as well so you will get the most out of your gears....you got nothin to worry about and you will be shooting a kick ass gun very soon

It seems as though Craig is really dedicated to his work. I think I'll be going to Gamepod from now on...AEX seems like it's always too busy and less interested in being friendly or talking to customers, but that's just the impression I got from visiting the Sac and the San Jose store once. :)

Can say one thing they are cheap and stated that they are able to hold up to an m120 spring. If you decide to go to systema high speed gears you won't be able to use any spring higher then an m100.

It probably took 30-45 minutes because when I stopped by there the place was packed and they had just about every counter covered with guns being upgraded, including my new M14 : ) and they have the new MP7 too(but I'm broke now) so that one will have to wait.
Look its a bird its a plane, no its just my broken aeg flying all over the place.

10 - 15 min to shim it good and 30 - 40 min. to make it perfect. Putting a few screws to close the gearbox to check shimming takes a little time. If you don't use the screws your shim will most likly be to tight and blow fuses shortly after firing. Removing the fuse is not the way to fix that problem. I've repaired a few tight shim jobs, and some with no shims  Wonder how long it took someone to work on those guns.

Yup, the proper way to shim the gears is to screw down the gearbox and spin them. If you don't don't do that, it makes a big difference, you could end up locking the gearbox up. Screwing and un-screwing could take some time.

Modesto Drama should be kept within Modesto not on sacair. We've got our own soap operas.
