fixing leaky mags?

Feb 16, 2006 11:11pm
Has anyone ever tried to fix leaking mags on GBB's? I've recently noticed the mag on my KWA G19 is starting to leak gas to the point where i can only fire off 3 or 4 rounds before i'm out of juice. Is it as simple as taking out the valve and replacing the o-ring seals? Or is it better to replace the entire valve?

Dip the mag in some water and find out where it's coming from first. Make sure you let it air dry before storing it.

Nah, I would always try to repair/salvage before buying a new one. But that is an easy and the quickest solution

I just stopped 2 MGC mags from leaking by soaking the o-rings in silicone shock (r/c) oil, and then using "Green Slime" to reassemble them.

I have a KWA G19 mag that is a complete pain to fill... is this also a valve replacement problem? The other mag fills without complication, so I don't think its my technique...

hi temp silicon seal maker. Great for chevys fords and gas guns. 7.50 per tube, its orange, it smells, and will seal just about anything and hold up to the cold/preasure of gas.
