Ok, a while back, I caved in, and bought an SP120 spring for my CA M15A4 SPC, and before we got it in, the motor seized up, I checked the fuse, and it was fine, so we pulled the motor out...

classic armys come with metal bushing, re-enforced gear boxes, you should be fine, u will eventually strip your gears but thats gona happen with any sp120 spring in a gun.
I would bet that it's the shimming...
