Local retailers that stock the new TM M14?

Feb 19, 2006 8:05am
Does anyone know of a local retailer that has Tokyo Marui M14s in stock? I am interested in picking one up, it looks like a great sharpshooter rifle since it shoots in the 300s fps wise out of the box.

It was slightly over $500 with tax and shipping. I ordered one already from a HK retailer. Should be here sometime this week or early next week. Now all I need is some high caps, battery charger and some other gear and I should be ready to play in a few months time. Hooah!

Does anyone carry the M14 flash hider as an accessory yet? I know the flash hider that comes with the rifle will be orange so I need a replacement.

i believe HK retailers ship it w/ a oj flash-hider but they hide the original somewhere in the box.

My package shipped but I got this message when I entered my tracking number on UPS. "PKG DELAY-ADD'L SECURITY CHECK BY GOV'T OR OTHER AGENCY- BEYOND UPS CONTROL" Should I be worried?

in short yes. They may not have covered the trades

it could be customs seized your package and it will either go back to hk or customs will keep it. who did you buy it from in hk? usually all the hk stores will ask you if you want an orange tipped barrel and trades covered. then you should worry. otherwise, they're just taking longer to check it out. i used speedpost and had no problems

They have a policy of shipping airsoft with orange tips when it goes to the US and I am not sure if they have trades on the M14. The company's name is hobby asia and I sent them an email already. Why did they choose UPS?

cause you didnt specify your desired delivery company. if it's a TM it probably has trades. thats what TM's are known for. it doesnt really matter, if you had shipped with anyone and didnt have either an orange tip or trades covered, then customs would still seize the package. My friend recommended speedpost cause they're not a hassle to deal with. next time, i wouldn't recommend buying a gun from ehobby. go with well known stores in hk like uncompany, wgcshop, tokyo hobby, cobra airsoft etc. hopefully it's only a delayed check on the gun.

There are trades on the rear of the rifle on the upper receiver. That's because UPS will be sending you a duty tax bill shortly thereafter

yeah they probably arent. Im just giving you a heads up next time you buy an aeg from hk, buy only from places with addresses. it is cheaper to buy from hk than in the US, you might save $50 or $100 if you buy a lot of stuff, but some places like airsoft club have really bad feedback. I've bought 2 aegs from a place called s-3 in hk. they're legit. and I've talked with pretty much all the store owners on that street in mong kok about shipping to the U.S cause i didnt want my stuff seized. they all said ship with an orange tip and covered trades.

Thank you for the tips , and I usually deal with Airsoftshop or Tokyo Model Company when I order from HK. Airsoftshop didn't have any in stock and Tokyo Model Company didn't have a deal which came with a battery so I tried Hobby Asia. I spoke with UPS and they still show the delivery date of tomorrow. I asked about duty tax and they do not know about it yet. I hope I don't have to pay. :x

They mention speedpost on their shipping options with ups, dhl and fed ex if you wanted your package right away. Next time I will just choose speedpost if I order from them again.
Feb 20, 2006 8:35pm
yeah i went with ups i think when i first originally shipped my stuff and they got seized. so my friend in hk shipped it through speedpost and it went through. good luck with your m14.
