alright, so im moving into the graduate apartments in primero grove in a week. just gotta know, is bit torrent banned on the T1 network and if you download way too much will you get banned?

most of those things are banned by colleges. although you can slip by using things like the emule project and others. also they monitor the amount of bandwith you use, so be aware of that.

seriously? damn, thats what i use right now to download everything. comcast never banned me...its alive and well everywhere else...i guess UCD totally bans it then? i heard they just ban the ports, but BT uses tons of random ports
i just talked to a couple of our freshman frat pledges, and it seems that bittorrent is NOT banned at UC Davis dorms. the only thing is that if you download more than 3 GB in a 24 hour period, you will be banned for 3 days.
Azuerus works in Davis dorms. My friend uses it all the time there.
