I just received my kjw p226 today and loaded it up to try it out. I noticed right away that there was a steady leak that gets louder when I turn it around in my hand. Now bear with me because this is my first experience with airsoft outside the academy. I fired a few mags through it no problem. I can only get one mag per fill however. Is this normal to hear some leaking or is it defective.
i'm sorry to say but you got a lemon. KJW guns are notorious for leaky mags. You should be able to fix it with new o-rings if you can source them. Also, because kjw guns are generally rip-offs of other more reputable companies' guns, you should be able to use those companies' mags. in the case of the sig p226, kjw copied marui....so perhaps check if marui mags fit. those will undoubtedly be more reliable.

I figured it was a gamble when I ordered it. I read that kjw p226 mags are slimmer than the TM p226 mags, so kjw mags work in tm's but not the other way around. Is that true?
i have no idea as i have not tried it myself. this is very possible though...it may also depend on the gun.

from the announcement to the release, it was said that Marui 226 mags will not work with KJW 226s. From a picture to picture comparison it doesn't look much different other than the trades. Is there an allen screw or any time of screw on the bottom of the KJW mags?

I got curious and wanted to see how this thing worked for myself. I unscrewed the allen(hex) screw at the bottom and found out it's a really simple design. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if it's leaking tighten it. I did and it works perfect, I can get three mags per refill. So far the gun is great feels the same as my real Sig 226 40SW with pretty damn good consistency. I would recomend this gun to anyone that wants some extra practice without having to go to the range to shoot the real one.
If you had answered yes there was, I woulda just suggested tightening it but you've done it!
