What is the difference between large and min type batteries

their sizes and discharge rates.

so is there one that is better than the other or does one have more shots than the other

mini type batt usually go in guns without stocks and yes larger batts last longer and can produce a higher rate of fire. but some minis can last you all day depending on how much you shoot. if you have a gun with a full stock you will want a large battery.

large batteries usually can have a higher voltage

large lasts longer and has more mlliamps ususally. so if its possible to fit a large batt in ur gun.get one.

If you do get a mini make sure it has a high discharge rate especially if your gun is upgraded otherwise it won't pull the string. Just like everyone says, if you have a stock and can fit a large battery, get one. Minis are for usually for the stock G36Cs, G3 SAS, Sig 552, etc...

how do i find out if it has a high discharge.sry might be stupid question just tryin to find out
Feb 25, 2006 9:59pm
they all have the same discharge rates cuz every cell thats used in airsoft guns is 1.2 volts each.

ya i know. shit Mr. reyes u dont have to get so pissed. all cells have the same voltage because they are all nimh for the airsoft gun batts. but but ya i guess lower mha would have better discharge rates because there is less to discharge.

im no battery tech but ill help a little since this is just unproductive...

Voltage is how strong a battery is electrically. More voltage = more power

well ive been into rc cars my whole life and thats how it is in rc car batts so im guessing thats how it is in aeg batteries. but see i am right about 1.2 voly for every cell. most ppl dpont even know what a cell is. ill ask them how many cells their batt is and they will say "9.6 volt" or something like that. so dont critisize me just because wnat im guessing is wrong.

If one needs to guess to offer assistance one is not helping, especially in such an expensive hobby as this.

airsoftbum is correct in his post,

why does eveyone have to be an ass to me just because im trying to help. and larger batteries do have more voltage because a larger batt means it has more cells and more cells means it has more voltage. therefore ;arger batteries have have higher voltages than smaler batteries. but who cares? eveybody should use lithium polymer because they are the best PERIOD.

Higher Voltage does not Equate to Higher Discharge rate (Rate of fire) which is the argument you were trying to make earlier.
Feb 26, 2006 10:30pm
dude u must have no experience with li poylmer. i have them and they are far beter than nimh and they last waay longer before dying. and how would i burn down my house with it? maybe you would cuz u obviosly dont know much about it if u dont think its the best.

I said that because you were shovelling out tons of incorrect information on other batteries, why would i assume your specialty is Lipolys?

hey are we cool now? cuz we arent really gettin anywhere.
