$300 upgrades vs. New gun
Hey, I was wondering if i should get $300 worth of upgrades for my stock M733 or if i should buy a new MP5 and add another AEG to the arsenol. Remember that $300 worth of upgrades goes really fast
well i am doing $300 for upgrades for my AK then i may consider a new gun.
Depends.Personally I would spend the money for upgrade,ie metal body, internials, etc. That what I am slowly starting to do with my M733.

mettle body, m100 spring, and mettle bushings....
well if you have a m733 and want a mp5, then id say upgrades, because both are cqb style guns, unless you got a different gun instead of the mp5
MP5 or SR-16. If i get an MP5 I will get it upgraded, new stock, battery, drum mag, aimpoint, internals
i still think you should do what snoopy said...metal body, m100, and metal bushings...if you have money left over, get mags, batteries, chargers, etc...
I'll see, i dont really need mags or batteries (i have 14 mags and 3 batteries) but if i do upgrades i was thinking along the lines of RAS w/ M203
I would go with the upgrades because you could also save too... Depends on what you get...

I had an M733...after about $700...it turned into an M4 RIS w/M203!!

+1 on the metal body and basic upgrade. Its all you really need.

Kind of a novice question, but what kind of FPS could one expect after the simple upgrades you guys are proposing with the M100 and bushings?
M100 would probably give you a gun shooting at around 350 fps

I have a 10.4 on mine...and at the time it had stock internals...needless to say I learned that lesson real fast!!!

Ya, provided they are done right it will last a long time. I've had a m100 and bushings in my m733 for 2-3years and a gear just finally stripped a week or so ago. And it was only 1 tooth. So no worries about durability.

for sure. my friend has had his TM m4a1 for 3 years with a m120 spring which is even higher fps and he hasn't had any problems with the internals. The battery went out before the gun did.
