i know that the battery is usally fine, its hard for the rain to get to the battery. As for rain getting in the barrel, i have no idea.....

u should be fine dude, dont submerge it, the motor is protected in the handle, and dont point the gun upwards twors the sky alot, i dont know if thats bad but watter in the gear box could cause some rusting i think

your aeg will be fine in the rain. Just wipe everything down with a towel and clean out your inner barrel with silicon spray to make sure everything stays lubricated.

you can get away with it if you dry off your gun when you done to avoid rust

It should be okay but cleaning it is a biznatch. I even used a compressed air and it still was hard to clean. Put it this way, played in the pouring rain at Lincoln and it was fun. Got home to clean my gun, wasn't fun anymore but hey, the guns still work. =)

the only problem with playing in the rain is the cold effect on gas weapons

when you're driving back try to store your gun with the muzzle pointing towards the ground so that if there is any water in the barrel i wont go into your gearbox

No ill effects do to rain at all. I just take my gun down a bit and let it dry off afterwards. Same with mags and all the rest of my gear. I've played MANY rains games and never had one problem.

Just make sure to wipe the water off of the exposed metal parts. They are not stainless steel, and will rust, A LOT. Trigger, rear and front sight assembly, forward assist, bolt release...

I think this is the biggest myth in airsoft, and one of the most asked questions. No your gun will be in fine the rain. BBs, I've seen in 30+ mph wind still shoot straight so wind is not a big factor in things.
Oh and aeg's are water resistant to a point not waterproof. Don't expect to go dipp'n in the pond and pop out like rambo rain'n bb's.
they where to my knowlage, though I'm sure they weren't stock, and something they tinkered with before, makingn sure they worked before taking a dip.

I don't think I have ever not gamed in the rain. Just dry and lube everything off when your done and you should be fine. If your afraid of getting the sniffles, a good gortex set will help prevent that.
