What is the andvantage to having a crane stock?

you know where to buy them at?my friend said he bought a gun with a crane stock and he had a larger sized battery it broke.He took it in the shop and they said the battery was 2 big thats what did it!is this true.
you can buy them at aex or offline,but you will need to then wire the gun to the rear.
will AEX wire the gun for me?will it cost under 50?
labor maybe under $50 but the crane stock itself is at least $100 without batteries.
