What is the consensus on the FAMAS? I know its one of the older TM AEG's, but do the newer ones come with a hopup?

All TM's come with a hopup, the FAMAS is good but its a V1 gearbox so AEX dosnt like to work on them, i think most v2 parts work on them but im not sure, they are great guns if u dont do alot of stuff to them.

ive heard the EG560(famas stock motor) has thehighest ROF of the stock TM motors but its also the weakest so upgrades are tough and I hear its not interchangable with standard EG700/EG1000 or systema motors, but I have no hands on experience

I admit I wanted the FAMAS as my first airsoft rifle. But too many people turned me away from it. Whether they just fell into the category of "hearing" it was horrible, I am unsure. It may be the gun has no problems whatsoever, as in Faint's case. A lot of folks love the p90 due to it's durability as far as it's gearbox, but I've also heard of many having problems with it as well. If you like it, be a pioneer with it. Figure a way to make it durable, make it perform, make it unique. Make it a French gun with American guts...
