Real quick question, Im trying to upgrade my spring to a m120s and I cant figure out how to separate the stock spring from the piston/head assembly. There is a hole on the top of the piston head, but it doesnt look like an allen bolt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what version mecbox is it i have a ver2 and it just slides out or pull if its tight.
Its a ver 2 gearbox. I tried to just pull it out, but its stuck in there. Ive heard of some springs digging into the plastic, but this is ridiculous. I looked down into the bottom of the piston, and it looks like there is a metal housing that the spring sits in. The spring looks like it might be attached to that.

you got me man sorry i can help, mine just slides out of the piston. ? ?
will removing the center piece affect performance?
AGM-65 Maverick:
the only way to get it out is like tuan said, get an exacto knife and stick it in the hole and cut in a circle, it will reveal a phillips screw.
thanks for the info. ive got metal bushings, shims, new motor, and new gears. blew the gearbox up at the team challenge. by the way, is there any way to tell the thickness of the shims without digital calipers? they just come in a pack of about a 100.
AGM-65 Maverick:
haha i just pulled untill the spring snapped off and the bottom where the metal part is lol not the most beautiful way to do it....
thanks for the help, with an exacto, dremel and phillips, everything was good to go.
