Sacair attitude

I lost an arm during a mini golf match, luckily the mini golf marshall had a sewing kit, put that bad boy back on in under 20 minutes. Til the grizzly came about, back in 89'... :lol:

[quote="NegativeCambre"]It seems that sacair decently enforces the 400fps limit, so I'm failing to see much need for the ill defined 'bang kill.' However, I also recognize the inherent liability of allowing engagement distances to approach levels that would make some eye protection suspect. Nobody wants to lose an eye playing with a toy gun. That's not a cool story for anyone involved. Not like getting your eye taken out by a grizzly bear but then beating him until he turns into a pussy and dies. That's a cooler story.

i think a when people start loseing teeth they will stop lieing about bang kills real quick. lol we need to test this though... 1.2.3 not it.

as far as bang kills go, i try to avoid them. when i sneak up on people i stay out of the min engagement distance and just shoot them. then its just a question of whether they call their hits or not.

Well as an official newbie myself I can say that although I don't "revere" the vets with "doe eyes", I do look to them for proper sportsmanship, etiquette, advice and tactics. The one game I've been to so far was great but the bang kill idea just seemed a little silly in the building. It made me wonder a couple of things;
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.

My first (and most recent) SacAir game went smoothly -- I was noobish and nervous. I worried there would be some "Lol, you noob(s)" attitude, but there wasn't any of that.

I wouldn't bang kill a grizzly bear.
Mar 7, 2006 6:05am
yes the bangkills does make me wonder why i carry $350+ in pistol on me during games but then I remember the damn rush I get from pistol kills. Anyone who knows me knows I pop fat wood when I get to pistol someone, so much more sensation! and sense of accomplishment to waste someone from 10-15 feet with a pistol hahaha!

I agree with JeppyJay and rap1171....I recently had he same problem with someone I looked up to as a friend. Things were going well, until he said that there was no way I could have gotten him. The guy said that his rifle was laready in a low-slung position (shotgun position, where the gun is held outward, almost at DICK level, with both hands). I have never used that technique, but I know it's used in differnet situations in real life encounters and tight security units like fed agancies..etc). Well I know his rifle wasn't low-slung..it was actually pointed down, until after I had enaged him..(BEFORE HE COULD LIFT IT UPWARD TOWARD ME)... becuase when I came around the corner, I was in an assault stance and was flanking right (around a wall) since I saw the top of his head and knew his position. I came in full bore, but with stealth around the wall and knew if I did it fast enough and alone, that he would be able to take him out and I DID...but he argued that he was "low-Sling". What kind of BS is that. I had to go in by myself, because the other 2 kids that I was leading (which by the way they did a god job and were kicking ass and did what I had suggested until they ...for God knows why....ran back to the buidling, thus leaving me exposed. This explains why I went and flanked on my own very carefully, but quick, to take that guy out. You know when you have made someone...it's just intuition. People have to argue with you, because their ego is on the line.

Bang kills are for safety, end of conversation. If we wanted more pain, everyone should wear full paintball masks for protection but since most people don't like full masks due to aiming problems we expose our face and teeth which calls for the bang rules for safety.

C. if you're talking to me...no, not yet....crap, this is trully an OMEN now. I'm stuck in infinite and relentless old school video world of the 8mm tape dungeon...............no worries, when I get my portion of the inheritance (yes, I'm getting some damn good $ from my other G-ma..she just died 2 months back) I'm finally getting the multi-video recording evice from SONY and than that damn XL-1 camera...etc for surveillance work and a little airsoft if nobody hits the damned thing to much.......LOL

back in the alameda days, we were playing cqb during nights and days with no engagement distance. no injuries and no fights occurred ever.

I have to count myself among the many who dislike bang kills. Of course that is coming from someone who also has a severe dislike of people upgrading their aeg's fps too much(I understand the desire for increased range but sometimes it makes me wonder...)

Bangkills are here for safety I know from first hand experiance that not using bangkills can result of popping out bb's out of ones skin

Honestly Erik... reading the forums is leaving me in a tough debate on if its worth coming back? I bought an AK from Shawn over christmas after I got back from Basic, but I've been tied up with my new job that I haven't done much esle. Been reading the forums alittle, and I notice so much talk about Teams being Leet Sauce "blah blah blah" and so many new faces. Kinda doesn't seem like the same bunch of guys that just shot BBs at each other for fun. Seems like a lot of people got a "My internetpenis is bigger then yours thing going"

There is only two ways to herd people in a community like this. Force them to get along and find common goals strong enough to make them look past personality differences or let everyone to there own thing. Problem with the second option is its only natural mutually exclusive groups are going to form and fight. To say " just look past it and chill out man" will not work for most members. The lack of effort it takes to get into this sport today does not stir a person to look beyond himself. A few years back, if you wanted to get into airsoft it took allot of personal effort to do the research and such because of that most guy would have a problem but would end up at "fuk it, I was put too much effort in this to let silly shit mess it up" the “sacair attitude” both old and new was born out of a necessity
