HSGI WEESATCH Multicam

multi cam looks really bad, i like the good old Woddland and 3 Color Desert, why are they changing it to digital i dont know...

ACU is the pattern that looks really bad. Our team and others I know call it "mint chip"...becasue it looks like mint chip ice cream...LOL!

I agree. However, John, I wasn't implying anything negative about anybody or any of the other types of camo patterns...etc, so I hope that you were not thinking that I was bashing our military etc.....just stating what I have observed in the field and when on duty.

Multicam (AIRPAT) is used by sacair people because we play in arid enviorments with light foliage. Real operators are in a different enviorment. Multicam will not suit thier needs in that place. Therefore, multicam is used by more sacair people than real operators because it better fits in the enviorment here than there.

Actually, I have spoken to real operators about this, and it has nothing to do with the pattern itself. The reason more spec op guys use is because many of them buy their own gear. The reason why it isn't issued, is because of the price and the patent on the pattern, and that is about it.

It's issued. Just not very widely.

The reason why it is commercially available is because the US army shelved it in the landwarrior system. They went with ACU instead. A small SELECT amount of units are buying it for use on a small level. When CRYE thought it was a lock with the landwarrior system, you could not get the stuff period. They would not even licence the pattern for overseas production. I waited for 2 yrs for my CRYE set...the only reason I got it was because of talon who works in the industry got me some. Now that Crye did not get picked up by the Army, they sell it to any one who wants it......Airsofters, and Gear Geeks.

Seal Team 8 is fielding MultiCam. Other "secret" units are fielding it as well.
