Ya know? You can buy a good radio like at any of your basic department, sports, or Wal-Mart stores (Ya like how I put Walmart seperate?). I got a pair of Cobras. I bought the haghest end pair that Wal mart had for $39 bucks. It comes with a home base charger so that you won't need to worry about buying batteries every time you go out with their use. Some of the feature that it has is beyond what I care to use them for. They are rated for 12 mile use (flat land and unobstructed). You should be able to get any good pair, such as midland or audiovox for around 30 bucks or so. Check out ebay just for kicks.

Don't you need a FCC license to use FRS/GMRS radios? All I have is a FRS only radio. Shame they got rid of the 14 channel frs only radios and decided to sell the frs/gmrs radios now.
What kinda radio is the best to have the throat radios or whatelse?
AEX sells the devgru throat mic and they stock 4 different radio adapters for different brands of radios. I am not sure how much you are willing to spend though. If you are looking for a Motorola Talkabout FRS (Family Radio Service) radio that doesn't need an FCC license, go to this website
