sorry there was a big typo 23 round to the legs, 6 to his feet, and 1 to his arm. If you want to confirms this order the tech effect documentary of the event from the history channel.
Actually, many of them do use mini 14s, its mainly the larger agencies that are arming with M16s. I believe that the CHP uses the mini 14.
Dude ferg, no offense intended by this, you seem like a redneck cop hater who is very mis informed. I read several of your earlier comments on the 97 bankshootout and believe me you need to get the facts straight. Dude the history channel did a documentary on the shootout. you say that the cops are trained with basic medical care and left him to die. dude the only way the swat officers stopped him was be shooting him in the legs under the cars. he took 2 round to the legs, 6 to his feet, and one to his arm before he finally surrendered. Now tell me how basic medical training is going to step the bloodloss from 30 major wounds. He died from bloodloss 2 mins after his surrender. What ambulance could have prevented that death, oh wait there are no ambulances within 2 mins distance, and even if there were an ambulance on the spot could they save him, NO. My dad is a surgeon he even agrees. My dad says the best med team in country could not have saved that asshole. Furthermore we equip our officers with the best weapons available (both leathal and non-leathal) so that they can asses a threat and deal with it accordingly. Nuff said.
you are just right about everything. I am sorry but I doubt that you know everything there is to know about the shootout. But I also doubt the history channel would produce a worthless piece of crap with inncorrect facts. Find your sources and prove them, or better yet get an autopsy on the guy. Dude history is one of my passions in life too, and I never claim to know all the facts. I only ever claim to be very knowledgeable on a particular subject matter such as this. Enough of your opinionated arrogance. k thx
I saw that diane feinstein grl in the newspaper talking against guns or something. She was holding an ak-47 with her finger on the trigger... with a mag in it... set to fully automatic... pretty ironic no? XP and then on another article it was set on semi. bleh
well, the vast majority of the television and paper media out there is liberal. They will follow any story out there that depicts liberal views. What this means, is that small pockets of culture, like the gun enthusiast culture will be pursued and persicuted, all because the negativity against such a topic draws ratings and gets them money. people in general are glued to contriversy and debate, and when a small pocket of people, culture, or anything for that matter, can be attacked, people want to see it. Don't be surprised guys when guns are outlaws, I guarantee they will be, and I would be willing to bet you every single penny I have, and will ever make that it will happen.
and what REALLY FRICKIN ERKS ME is that people want to try to make peace with the muslims we are at war with! wake up people! there is no peace, it is there religion to KILL US. Now, I consider myself to be a very religous person, if you were to weigh me on a scale of what the average person would be weighed, and I know my walk with my God. As a Christian, a regular church-goer, Bible Study Attender, and active participant in church functions and issues, I will without a doubt say that these people will not stop killing us until 1 of 3 things happens.
if they outlaw all firearms the only ones who will have them is the outlaws. theres allways ways to get guns through the black market and the outlaws will always be able to have guns either if theyre legal or illegal

In my mind gun ownership is a good thing. The framers gave us that right for many good reasons that are more applyable today than ever before. Government regulation being the most important IMO. Time and time agian history has proven helpless unarmed Peasents will be taken advantage of.
