hey guys, ive gotten myself to buy a nice vest/chest rig/etc. platform in the next few months, and i was wondering, all you gear whores, which would be the best one??? i have heard molle is great, and cheap, but can get pricey for all the "add-on's".if you have other brands that you think are better, tell me!

It may not be a HUGE collection, but it certainly has an in-depth overview of the items he uses.

Yea my buddy knows that guy...No kind of LE or Spec ops Experiance...he is just a gear collector...who does bitchen gear reviews...good stuff there

If you have the cash go with TAG (tactical assault gear) it the same stuff used by the SEALs, it's expensive but definitely the way to go.

Im gussing you dont want to spend $400.00 on gear...Save your money and buy replica stuff. Unless you plan on really going into battle anything replica will do you just fine...Redwolf has a very nice RAV setup for about $169.00. Almost everything you will ever need is included...

Most Of the "Replica" gear is not made from cordura, and they use cheap Polyproplyne webbing, and substandard sewing techniques in the construction. that means the crap falls apart.

so john, i read in the info, it said for this CIRAS full set that it does use cordura, unless they are lying..heres a link for you to know what the hell im talking about:

I said MOST monkey...I looks okay...but watch the bar tac stitching on the molle loops...That kind of stuff dosen't bother most people...

I would have to disagree. From the different type of gear I have had, I have yet to be really disapointed in any replica gear. As far as airsoft players being more rough on gear as real oeprators...Im not even going to touch that. Either way, if you got the money go for it, if not then get replica stuff.

some of us have REAL PLATES IN OUR CARRIERS GUY! as well as REAL SOFT INSERTS....but now who would you know that ...

oh and not all airsofters "dirnk soda and have hot dogs in he parking lot "

Although I didnt understand your last sentence, and you didnt address my REAL points, I think I get the jist...OK you are as hard on your gear as real deal operators, if not more. (as you stated) cause "some" of you PLAY airsoft with real plates in your rigs...Yeah I can see how that is similar... :lol:

MOLLE is great, but if you get a vest, make damn sure you get REAL pouches; off brand and random pouches come unbuttoned when you pull on a mag or try to open the pouch. and if you get a dump pouch make sure you can reach into it through a slit on the top without opening the whole thing up. other that that, MOLLE is great; I cant tell you how much I love changing up my loadout according to the mission.

Personally, I wore real armor for 8 years and now that I am out, I am glad I can place foam padding in my TAC gear and actually enjoy a day of runnin' and gunnin'.
