Classic Airsoft
Does anybody have any experience with the classics (JAC, Asahi, etc). I am thinking about selling my bb spewing sewing machine (AEG) for a gas rifle. If anyone owns one of these and would be willing to let me try it out before I buy one, I would be highly appreciative. Thanks

I do, Have had a jac and a escort SP M16.... only other i know on here is booster(jeff)
i found a JAC MP5 for 250. i'm seriously considering it. did you use an external rig or the internal tank? what is the FPS on these (I've heard they shooot a little hot). If you could point me to a website that'd be great, other than www.classicairsoft.com I'm having a hard time finding info on classics.

classicairsoft.net is the best....
Dave knows what he's talking about...especially regarding the parts. Even getting 90% of the parts for an SP requires you have a contact in Japan...if the parts are available. The mags are hard to find and pretty pricey too. My Kokusai's 100 round air feds usually run $80 on the website Dave referred to.

The newer Sun Project M16's can actually use aeg magazines so they wont ever need the hard to find air fed mags and as far as I can tell for replacement parts for it, Sniperx on classicairsoft.net can get those for you. I can't say anything for the other classics as I have no experience with them. However, the SP's are sweet.
That's true on the newer SP using TM mags...and they are very cool. Paul can get parts for them or have his brother Andrew make them up for you, but the shipping time frame won't be like ordering from Den or WGC. Gunsnguys is the last retailer with any left in the XM version which is the latest version and the easiest to modify.

Sound kinda difficult and a hassle to get into...

sorry to bring up this semi-old post but i was reading over there at classic airsoft about the escort mp5's sniperx is beginning to sell. they sound like they're awesome guns. you think they'll ever go down in price though? $636 is an awful lot...
What's a signature?
How many mags does it come with? I saw the old YE versions (cannot take TM mags) for 550 w/1 mag.
"Guns don't kill people. People kill people."
sniperx is selling the new versions with one mag, i think its a star. these aren't the old YE's. They're retuned to take marui mags, have hop up, metal bodies, etc. still run on the gbb escort system. maybe if these guns get more mainstream the price'll go down...

Many of the guns are pre-sold...so there's probably not going to be a big break on the price soon...if there ever is one. The SP's were out of production for awhile. They went back into production with some improved features plus adding a new model-the XM. The price never went down to my knowledge.

yeah...sigh...i suppose i'll just have to find a way to get 650 bucks...

Unbelievable isn't the word to describe the rate of fire on Dave's JAC.
There's no way I would have believed that claim if the guy I bought it from told me that prior to me buying it. I probablyl would have been, eh, ok sure it does wink, wink. But seriously it's no joke a whole mag in less than 2 secs, and like wupjak said, 600 fps!!!!

I have owned a few classics, still have a jac SD6 and I call BS on your claims, feel the numbers me be inflated a little and taken down in some cases...
Yeah I know what you're saying, point taken. Im not trying to stirr, I was just freaking amazed I had to share.
