Off brands
Like most of us on here, I was browsing ebay and noticed sellers advertising their guns to be "just like TM or CA, but at the fraction of the price". There were a couple that showed the alleged manufacturer's name. One was Well and the other was WFA Arms (unclear as to what that stands for). From what I could see from the pictures, they looked like they had the authenticity replecation that CA or TM have. That peaked my interest, I'll admit. So I did a google search for both of these manufacturers. I only came up with either other sites selling them or other message boards with a yahoo like me inquiring about them. I think it's safe to say that none of you have heard of them? Here's some links so ya know what I mean.

my opinion: yet another chinese knock-off, marketed to springer-kids that cant afford TMs and need an advantage over their Lpeg-wielding friends. evidence for marketing to springer kids:
oh, and the review section sounds like a great idea.
src is a great brand... its not perfect, but its great. i havent had problems with them. its just that theres no bragging rights in owning one.
Yes, I was curious about these brands also. I know from what people say, and from what I have experienced, anything with CYMA is junk. They'll break down probably after the first 50 shots or so. Also, as for UTG I know that they are okay guns, just to start off with but if you want to "upgrade" like they say, you have to spend quite a bit, like a new motor, wiring, etc... But yes, I wish I had some extra cash lying around so I could make my own purchase and my own review for all us airsofters and especially my family/friends who are thinking about getting into airsoft.

i didnt like the fact that it said, "This can also fire 6mm seamless paintballs. You can shoot in both semi and fully automatic modes." Marui would never advertise this.

If SacAir people wrote the review board, I can't imagine it would be helpful in the least for new players.
Here's what I mean by the whole "Review Table" thing. Just a simple table to show all around pros and cons of said brands. That way ebayers and other shoppers will know from actual players what worth these products truly are and if they live up to their advertisements. I mean, c'mon! would these guns really have the right to be compared to CA or TM? I'd hate to see the new guys comin to a field and getting worked because their new bought "off brand" fails due to crappy workmanship or that they just don't take the same mags that the premiums take. It would (probably) stop uneeded post from those looking for our opinions on these subjects. Once again, just a thought.

i had first had experince with on of those "off brands" (sigh puts palm of hand to face sigh) it was the bud k special, well it said it shot "250 fps" mabye with .12 shooting 150 on a good shot, the things was also 3/4 the size of a TM or CA m4, it was on the hoakiest things i have ever seen, i called it a knock off of a knock off...UTG is the only decent off brand, although i saw a WELL m4 at AZ last month and that kid held up fairly well. anyhow yes it comes down to ug et what u pay for, so remebr that.
Some guy came to our AA game yesterday with a Wel XM8. Sure the exterior was decent and felt pretty good, but it performed like garbage. His gun had extremely poor range, and our gas pistols were more usefull than it.
