M249 disapointment
I just got my gun back from Airsoft Extreme and this thing is a piece of junk. I am soooooo pissed, because it cost me 2100.00 bucks. I have had to send it back 3 times, the first 2 times were for striped gears after maybe a 100 rounds, because this thing jams fast. The third time it is going back because I received it today and the mech box is just barely hanging on and it is sooooo inconsistent in firing I am affraid to fire it, do to the jamming issue. This thing sucks! I am just giving anyone else a heads up.
* TOP SUCKS*

lol no wonder Jim wanted to trade me his, haha :shock:
toms is working ok, just they lack on range a little.
I am sending back to ASE and am done with TOP. But I will continue doing business with ASE. The other guns I have purchased are great. Sad no one else makes the Big Boy guns like that?
yeah, I would like to know if I can get a good GPMG, I was seriously thinking about getting an M60DX from TOP, but if they suck that bad, don't think I will
Blah. Support weapons. :x
underpowered, heavy pieces of paper weight....
The main question is, are they able to be upgraded? If they are, then I think it's worth it for the realism. If they aren't then might as well just turn an M16 into an LMG.

all support weapons are so friggin heavy, and i was so surprised at tom's cuz of its short range. i mean if u spend 1000 dollars on a support gun, it should live up to the price. Also, upgrades cost u like an extra 1000 cuz it needs to be upgraded or it sux totally. i hate support weapons in airsoft. maybe....just maybe....tanaka will make an MG42 :) damn that would be sweet...
I think the reason for the lack of good support weapons, is as simple as the rule of supply and demand. Not too many people buy the support weapons, or write the companies about having them create good support weapons, so therefore nobody bothers to create a truely good support weapon. Maybe we should start a letter writing campaign to get the fat ass manufacturers to make an LMG/GPMG that is worth a damn.
Well, the general problem with airsoft support weapons, in my opinion, is basic physics. The entire premise behind the idea of a support weapon is sustained high ROF. That basically kinda goes against the whole principle of power upgrades. So, unlike a real support weapon, which can throw out a wall of .30 calibre lead at a phenomenal ROF, with airsoft support weapons, you have a choice of ROF or power, but seldom both. So, basically, you've gotta get your support guy up close and personal to let loose his barrage of bb's, or he'll have to give up some ROF to increase power/range of his weapon. The only other option I can think of is to hit up that company in Texas that makes those gas powered support weapons and gatling guns.
yea we should make a nice compaign for a PKM :twisted:
Well, My G36 is working great as a support weapon. anyone at yesterdays game that heard a gun firing non stop for about a minute ;-- , that was me. Now I just need the guys to advance when I'm keeping the enemies heads down.
