ok, so ive owned airsoft guns before, a few of my friends and i bought a bunch of TM's a while back, just for playing on some private proporty. lucky me, i was cheap and bought a FAMAS. now i am intersted in playing larger games around the sacramento area and i was looking at upgrading to a newer m4 style gun. i dont know if anybody has an experience with the m4-s or the 733? (TM models) what worries me most is the potential for barrel wobble (my friend has an sr-16 with a terrible case of it). can anybody help me out with any information? (anything else on local games and such would be great too :) anybody from davis...?)

Barrel wobble happens for the following reasons:

i have a tm sr-16 and it got bad barrel wobble after a few months. so i got a hurrican metal body and now theres no barrel wobble at all :). and the trades look great and the guns sick. love it. i even fliped the RIS on the front so i could put an m203 on it so it wouldnt wobble either

barrrel wobble is easily fixable. you need 1. Metric allen wrench set 2. Locktight 3. Common sense. Unscrew the tiny hex screws closest to the deltaring so that they are almost out. put a little lock tight on them, screw them back in until barrel feels snug. do not overtighten them or strip them because it will have bad concequences, but as long as you do it right it should cut down on barrel wobble by about 85%

u could do that but i dont agree with locktighing the barrel, it could strip the screws if u need to remove it, just get the metal body, and CA reenforced outer barrel and u are good to go.

Just put an S-System on it!! That'll def. help!! LOL!!! But seriously, a RIS might help...theyre not THAT expensive.

If your a bigger guy, or can lift your share of weight, S-System all the way, that was my first M4... I loved it...

Depends on which TM M4-M16 variant you get.I know with the M733 the barrel wobble isn't as bad as some others such as the M16A2.Definitely go for a metal body if you buy one.I am keeping most of my stock front end on my gun, just switching out the body itself if I ever find the time or some help.I haven't had any problems with barrel wobble as of late.
