to buy a hand gun i think all they do is a background check....i have not hared of a test.....but you can take a gun safety course. but i think there is a test for a concealed weapon permit.
to purchase a handgun you must pass the background check be 21yrs old and also pass a test. the test is basically common sense and costs between 20-30$ the dealer where you are going to purchase the gun can give you the test. then you get a certificate or card. this used to be called a basic firearms saftey certificate and was good for life....however the law has changed and now it is only good for 2 or 3 years.
also regarding a cc permit it is issued by the chief of police in your city if you live in a town the head sheriff guy for your county issues it there is a class i think you have to take and have a good reason if you need this for work you should be ok if you want it for personal it better be a dang good reason or you will be rejected and the second application is much harder to get. good reasons include late/early deposits in a high crime area carrying lots of cash or valuables or being a gun dealer last i checked a cc permit was good for 2years and good stadewide with some exceptions like can't take your piece into bars casinos or airports as well as a courthouse county or state/fedral buildings i'm not sure about but the cc permit class should make all this clear  happy packing
if you have a hunting license you dont need the handgun certification
Coolwater airsoft is a bunch of queers hence they all dress pretty and match all the time, most of them are simply adults that live at home still, when they arent doing airsoft stuff they like to play D&D and have circle jerks, they all voted for Jon Kerry and are democrats
I'm a guard, the course for me to carry my firearm openly costs about 200+ plus lisence fees through BSIS. Not getting a CCW, but thank you for the information.

Yes, it was an exemption at one time... That's when we used the BFSC, but that went out quite a few years ago.
