and you'll just leave it up to the person who's buying your M4 with the CA gearbox to upgrade the rifle...then again they might not do anything to it at all...

Well if money isn't an issue, then I would have to recommend the new Systema M16A3. It is full metal, I believe the front rails are real steel, shoots 380 I believe out of the box, and is a Systema product so it has to be reliable. This gun goes for about a grand but by the time you're done upgrading you're TM, that's probably how much you'd be into it. The cool thing about the Systema gun is that it actually stops shooting when you run out of ammo in the mag. You actually have to slap the bolt release to start shooting again. They should be coming out with different versions of the gun soon also.

I have actualy had good luck with my CA M15A4RIS. The battery conector sliped off thats about it.

Welcome to the sport of airsoft! The M4 is a great first choice for beginers as well as those with previous experience as well!!! It is a highly upgradable and very affordable. Most people go with either an MP5 series or an M4. The M4 is great for all purposes as it can be fitted with an M203 for more firepower or tricked into a sniper version or just used in the collapsed setting as a SMG to some degree.
