Anyone here go to Sac State? My girlfriend just texted me that she just got carded by military before the let her on campus. They wanted to see her driver's license and Student ID.

tell her not to drink a 40oz in public!

I go to Sac State, and I have seen a few army personnel out in the quad in the last two weeks.They looked like recruiters handing out paphlets on the Army.They were out in the Afternoon, but that had to have been a week ago. They left me alone but I was in my BDUs for AFROTC.

Yeah I was on campus on Tuesday and I didn't see anyone requesting IDs. You should definitely tell your girlfriend to talk to Campus Police about this. Did this happen in the morning or afternoon?

It was this morning around 10ish I would say. So I think it's rather late to be asking for military ID. But she did say that only seven other people got carded in her class of about a hundred...something smells.

Tell your girlfriend to be careful if the people who requested to see her ID are imposters.

Will do...this is the strangest thing...coming from a military family I thought it was really out of place...

Could be cadets from either the Army Rotc or AFROTC detachments.Both units wear woodland BDUs.I can't see why they would be carding people though.

don't tell her to go back and take pictures, but, to be ready to take pictures next time.

I am military now and that is very odd. If it was a security team of some sorts they would be wearing some kind of identifying mark, like am arm band or an ID. And a rec will not just walk up and ask for your ID, not if he wants to sign anyone up.
