[quote="SWATMonkey"]i like them both. john is right about the SVD, pretty much no one has it on the field...ive shot one before, and wow, its amazing(the king arms one i think). but, i have a type 96, and i love it. shoots far, easy to cock, but 3 small things i have found...

barrel length helps though, for fun around the nieghborhood i bought a spring famas and the barrel was like only 7 inches long and the hop up was so strong the bb went up really high, so i took my barrel out of my busted m-16 and put it in the famas and now it shoots a lot straighter with the same distance

barrel length only helps to a certain extent...
What's a signature?

i disagree, i think barrel length matters a lot, between my m-16 long barrel, and my Famas, the m-16 was much more accurate

i think it's more about the clearance between BB and barrel, that's why tightbores tend to aid accuracy a little bit. High quality, larger diameter Bbs and a normal barrel have the same effect of close clearance between the BB and barrel wall. Basically, as long as the gap between your barrel and BBs is small, and the Bbs and barrel wall are smooth, you'll have higher air compression behind the BB and less vibration, which is ultimately what dictates how accurate the shot is. Low vibration means less deviation from point of aim, regardless of how you achieve that lower vibration. A lot of people have shorter barreled guns that are really accurate, and can testify that longer is not necessarily better. Also, as an afterthought, more supported barrels are more accurate because of lessened vibration, and a good barrel crown has a lot of affect too.

yes i agree, and thats one of the reasons i decided the SVD, 590mm tightbore barrel, someday soon ill have it
