I seen it like 3 weeks ago on military.com, i see a problem with this. In the sommali conflict the pentagon would not even grant C-130 gun ships. How would they get all that crap at one time.

There is a thread on SacAir about a soldier complaining that the ground troops aren't being adaquately supplied with CR123 batteries. A military force this technophillic and coordinated seems a million years off.

exactly my thoughts. we are like a OICW, while our enemies are like AKs. The OICW kicks the AKs ass when it works but so many things can go wrong on the gun. The AK on the other hand has poor performance but always works. When the OICW fails the AK still works and now the AK kicks the defenseless guys ass. Dang, I love metaphors. :lol:

I say we train our troops to use nothing but a KA-BAR and their bare hands. Tell them that all the other equipment is "extra bonus stuff" that might help them out. So they'll still function well without all of the "extra bonus equipment" if/when it fails. :lol:

One thing that bothered me in this particular demo was that it seemed that most of the planning and prior recon aspects of good mission design were either absent or replaced with real-time spotting equipment. I can understand that the video was to demo *exclusively* the proposed technologies under development or consideration--

That's pretty crazy... I am playing GRAW right now and it's hecka hard and that would just be crazy to think that all that may come true some day...
