AR builds may not be total legal

Apr 14, 2006 2:32am
for people that have already build their AR to pre-ban configurations may not be totally legal. partner had some information from DOJ and attorney generals office-firarms division stating that all lowers will eventually be added to the ban list. however they will not be considered pre-ban and must conform to existing CA laws. guns must be built to current law specification. this is not etched in stone and there is a lot of debate still going on. just some inside information. preban will not include the recievers from this year-not retroactive pre 94=preban is the way it is headed. i'll keep tabs for you guys.

If you're referring to the memo that was posted on Feb 1st by the DOJ, it's been heavily debated at calguns.net.

Hey, i was just voicing my shagrin at "for people that have already build their AR to pre-ban configurations may not be totally legal. partner had some information from DOJ and attorney generals office-firarms division stating that all lowers will eventually be added to the ban list." That's all. And for your info, I'm not a kid, and I have friends both in and outside of the LE and military communities with easy access to these weapons. I meant merely to express what I felt about the above underlined section, as this will have affect on some people I know, that's all. Don't really know where I offended you.
