Well i put my battery on the wall charger and left it there for a wile. But when i came back it was really hot, is that bad? If so can i still use it, and what can i do so it does not happen again?

NOOO..it s being hot is a BAD thing. If the battery is warm to the touch, it means has a good charge, if its hot, its done. if its REALLY HOT, REMOVE IT FROM THE CHARGER IMMEDITLY!!! Becuase your at risk of blowing up your battery and causing a fire

true, but having it hot, but not reallllly hot, is a good thing...haha

Yeah, warm is better than hot. If you can't hold it in your hand for more than 3 minutes, you could be overcharging your battery.

If it gets hot, unplug it or you might mess up your battery and later cause a fire. I picked up this $25 from AEX that has an auto shut-off function and discharger. It's perfect for Ni-cd & NiMh. Oh yeah-who is that girl? Your girlfriend or something?
