M4 v.s. G36C Classic Army

Apr 16, 2006 11:50pm
:?: So I cant decide. . . . my first $300 rifle and I dont know wether to get the 36c or the M4. I like the M4 more and the look of it, but the 36c is cheaper, already has rails, and has the folding stock. I need opinions. Oh these are all Classic Army by the way.

get whatever you want, its not up to us, its only up to you. dont be a robot and try to fit in, get what you like, i have had both, both great guns only one desicion up to you. sorry if i sound like a jerk im not. just being blunt.

yeah i'm really indecisive, lol i just started looking at TM Mp5s and i like the A4. A lot cheaper too. I was gonna get that with a 400fps upgrade, 9.4 battery and a reg charger. Yeah, its stupid. I dunno.
Apr 17, 2006 12:46am
well the mp5 is a good gun but they do tend to lack accarcy at longer ranges, not alot. stay with a g series or an M seires you will be happy eitheri way.

I like the built in optics of the CA G36c.... they don't suck so bad.

400 FPS upgrade....
Apr 17, 2006 2:47am
I would go with the TM G36C and if you have to out of the box upgrade I guess do so... :Sigh:

I say TM G36c

i have a CA g36 and havent had any probs with it. if you are planning on upgrading it quite a bit then go with TM.

Just because it's a CA and has a metal body doesn't mean it won't crack. Why would you drop your gun anyway? That would just be dumb...

You wont have the trigger switch blow out if you buy a TM.

Damn, there's no choice for "Neither, get a TM"
Apr 17, 2006 2:10pm
yeah i'm really leaning for the m4. I like the look, and my first spring rifle was a ar-15 panther arms and i love the feel and design. Dont you need a 9.6 battery before putting in the 400 upgrade?
Apr 17, 2006 2:15pm
You don't HAVE to have a 9.6. But it would make a big difference. It won't wear down as easily as an 8.4 plus you get a lil higher ROF. My gun is upgraded to 400 fps but I have to stick with 8.4's 'til I get a gun-butt extention to fit the 9.6. (it's a p90)

Don't upgrade a g36c beyond 350fps unless you plan on lengthening it. The inner barrel is the same length a p90. Even at 400fps, it isn't nearly as accurate as you'd think it should be. I was foolsih enough to buy a g36c used that was upgraded to 400fps. It's too hot for cqb, and then it's far too short to have competitive range for outdoor games, which is why I decided to lengthen it to an sl-9. Now, with a sig550 length inner barrel, it outranges a lot of 400 fps aeg's on the field, but it's also twice as big as it used to be.

I really want an m4 cause i already have an m16 scope, leapers, and yeah, i've decided, classic army m4, lenthen barrel, 400fps, 9.6 battery. Do mid caps have a winder?
Apr 19, 2006 12:53am
no they do not...
Apr 21, 2006 5:33am
CA all the way baby!!!! I love my K. When I was looking at them the TM need more things to upgragde it. (Like metal bushings and metal spring guide.) The TM just cost alittle more to upgrade tham CA. Plus the CA just looks dead sexy....lol
Peace Out...Happy Airsofting

For you first gun You HAVE to get a TM they are very reliable. And every one has a m4 so if you want originality get something else.
Apr 22, 2006 1:02am
i dont really care about having an original gun. I want a quality, good looking gun. Plus the TM m4 doesnt have a removable carry handle and thats what i want. CA all the way.
Apr 22, 2006 1:25am
Your mistaken it does, the M733 is the varient with out a detachable carry handle and its barrel is smaller.

Apr 22, 2006 4:37am
oh sorry, the m4 i was looking at didnt have the detachable. And I'm gonna want a longer barrel anyways. I want the 400 fps, so i'm gonna have to get the longer barrel and then a 9.6 battery. Yeah. . . plus i dunno why but i have a thing for classic army.
Apr 22, 2006 5:03am
why would you have a thing for classic army???
Apr 22, 2006 5:32am
you can put a 9.6 into a ca m4 too. Just need to do it custom. Plus, i'm not going to be upgrading for a while. I can afford the classic army now, and fix it along the way. If it "dies" faster, then i'll upgrade it then, but i cant afford to upgrade a Tm after the 3rd game.

There are actually a lot of TMs and CAs on the board for sale. Many of them are for great prices. If you only find an M4, you can purchase an m16 GP outer barrel for 70-90 at aex + inner barrel for another 40-70.
