my m15 is having troubles with the selector switch. it shoots on full auto fine, but semi is no where to be seen. it doesnt click when you pull the trigger, it doesent do anything. but then a quick switch to full auto, and theres no problem with that. back to semi, and no response at all. any ideas?
on my AK, a little post on a cut-off lever falls down when the gun is set to semi. every time the lever is lifted by a nub on the sector gear, it cuts off the flow from the battery. Of course, this is on a Ver 3 in an AK, so yours is probably different, and the problem could also lay with the switch or the selector plate. Take it to AEX!
i believe people post up so they dont have to take it to AEX
"that's ghetto"
did you check the 2 metal contacts that touch the inside of the selector plate? They may not be in contact when on semi.
oooooooo, good idea, ill check it out
If one of those 2 tabs that contact the selector plate was weak on semi. Then it could have been arcing and either pitted or glazed a spot on the plate. And not making contact anymore.
sweet, thanks guys. took down the gun, and one of the contacts, wasnt making contact. streched em both a lil bit, put er bac together, and voila. its like magic. thanks for saving me the trip to aex to everyone that helped
