Real Steel Springfield M1A Scout
Id like to get a rifle and I dont want 5.56. Since this gun has been around since the beginning of time I think it should be a good starter. Now I understand it depends on what I do with it, so lets say target practice and personal defence. I might start to go hunting with it too. Will this weapon fill all those requirements? I would really like an autoloader and something with a longer barrel. Any reviews would be appreciated
AGM-65 Maverick:
what are you getting it in? .308? yeah that would make a great gun for all above mentioned stuff...... are you looking for a hunting rifle? there are some others I would recommend that I feel compare and are cheaper
Coolwater airsoft is a bunch of queers hence they all dress pretty and match all the time, most of them are simply adults that live at home still, when they arent doing airsoft stuff they like to play D&D and have circle jerks, they all voted for Jon Kerry and are democrats
yep .308 7.62 NATO, from what ive read/heard it has a substantial leg up on the 5.56 in regards to stopping power/range.
AGM-65 Maverick:
well I aint into talking military but from what I know a .308 is great but there are other options like I use a .243 or a .270 that is what my whole family uses and I have loved them good for any shooting, but regardless the .308 is a great round with alot of power behind it, if you dont mind me asking what kind of hunting will you be doing?

what is the reliablity like. I assume since this is a fairly new incarnation of the rifle it is very reliable.
AGM-65 Maverick:
If you get the National Match be careful to use only Match grade ammo in it. Mark used some South African surplus and it cracked his reciever, had to wait for SA to replace it.
yes and no .270 in surplus is almost exactly the same price as .308 now when you get into expensive hunting rounds yes there is a price difference of a couple bucks but they both do the same thing , but if it saves you a few bucks then just go cheaper, but when I buy a gun I don't look at the price of ammo to make my decision on the gun, though I should have with the .454 casull

Does say a lot about the design. Been used since WW2 and many of the M1 garands that fought in that war are still used as hunting rifles today.

ive pretty much decided on the scout because you cant get a decent AR in CA anymore and I dont want to go through the hassle of trying to build one to BATF regulations.
