so it's a bit misleading. it's really not a "shield", it's more like a dome of active coverage. anything that comes into that active coverage will be met with a counter punch.

looks like Explosive reactive armor. ive seen it on soviet tanks. but the tanks dont look like they have it.

maybe it uses the radar to track it in a distance and if it is getting closer it would stop it and hte opposite for outgoing?
yea, it did say that it classifies the object, and then tracks it, so that should eliminate all other small items, i.e. the rocks, and wall shards
in the article it said "heat" projectiles, so a hand grenade or anything like that will be it's achilles heel.

Where did you get that the blocks jump off? i didnt say i was sure about how it worked lol. i got it form my encyclopedia of armored fighting vehicles. i must have taken it out of perspective. plus it kinda made sense to me with the picture.
