So basically what i see from all the other posts is that TM or CA is just on preference, but what i want to know bout is the gears. Ive seen some CAs have steel gears but not on the MP5s. on the other hand ive heard TM gears still hold up better. What do you think???????
personally i like CA gears
TM gears are a lot tougher than one would think. They're the only ones Neouser uses in his guns because they are relaibly machined and last a while.

CA Gears. They are steel. TM is made of pot metal. What do you think... Steel is weaker? Or pot metal. Will the weaker gear be more reliable? The steel gears are machined and pot metal gears are molded. So CA gears are the better gears. TM gears are good gears but are too weak for 400fps or higher.
Peace Out...Happy Airsofting
why would you need higher than 400 FPS from an AEG? Most fields aren't going to allow higher, and I only say most because I don't know of any but there is always a chance.
I've seen more CA gears strip than TM ones. Just an observation. If I may say, Systema gears FTW.

CA gears may be of a stronger material but with that being said they are also more susceptible to vibration witch helps alot in stripping gears.

if my CA gears strip im gunna get systema

I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!
airsoft is mechanical, and bordicon allways told me this, and im sure somebody told him this, and it makes perfect sense.
The overall finish on the prometheus gears is awesome. Compared to systema gears they're much smoother, easier to break in, and quieter too. Also they use better metal and use a nice hardening process as a final step.
