More Pop Softball Bat

My sister said she overheard a guy at the gym talking about how he can do something to his softball bat to give it more "pop" and she wanted to know. So do any of you?

Studies show cork doesn't make a bat better. It showed its all in the head.
Once, while having sex in a tractor trailer, part of goody's sperm escaped and got into the engine. We know know this truck as optimus prime.

Well, a lot of aluminum softball bats are made out of metals that actually give it more pop than others. Personally I've always thought that was kinda weaksauce.

put some water in it :) my dad had a bat that had water in it and him and my uncles would kill balls at the softball games when i was a kid. just a lil'bit to get the momentum going :)

If you're thinking about playing baseball or softball competitively for a while then you might also want to work on conditioning fast twitch fibers in your arms, and also start a plyometric training regimen.

How did he get water in it?

He could have been talking about putting ping pong balls inside the bat, I've heard lot's of people talk about how its supposed to increase trampoline effect, but I have no clue if it actually does.

I had a request from a buddy at work to chime in on this. Okay, first off metal bats are pretty much obsolete in softball today. They have been completely replaced by composite (basically plastic) bats. There are leagues that only allow metal bats, but generally most allow composite. There have been a number of bat bans over the last few years that has resulted in the "best" bat generally being whatever $200+ bat feels good to you (per association. ASA bats are toned down compared to USSSA and NSA bats... they are marked with "certified for use with" stamps).
