Significantly reduced range

Alright, here's the deal: I installed a metal body for the first time last night, all went well; at least I thought so until I did a test fire this morning. I found that the range on my M4 had dropped to about 70ft before the bb hits the ground.

it sounds lke the hop up bucking is not in right. This is a very common problem if (no offense) you dont know what your doing. I learned this same lesson when I did my first metal body. My advise is to take it aprt again and look down the barrel through the hop up side. If the bucking is not a perfect circle its in worng, the slightest misalignment will cause a significant drop in muzzle velocity and range. Take the barrel out, turn the hop all the way off, lube the crap out of the bucking with silicone spray (while on the barrel) and slowy work the barrel back in twisting it slightly back and forth, be carefull to watch the bucking for resistance, you want very little to no resistance. Once you get it in , look down the barrel again to see if you see any misalignment or lack of a perfect circle (look through hop up side) if it seems to be good, turn your hop all the way up, you should see it comedown inside the barrel, if that all checks out you should be good to go. Hope that helps

Those hop-ups are very easy to tear.
