Does anyone know if the G&P metal parts and upgrades made for a TOP m249 will fit on a STAR m249?
dont blame me....i didnt tell you to shop at jungletoy.
ive got a star para saw, it has a PGC V3 metal gear box, hurricane high speed gears, tight bore barrel, 7mm oilless bushing, deepfire titanium piston, a new metal hop up unit, TM motor, m120, ahhhhh it was built by Freq 88, it runs very nice, accurarte as hell and an insane ROF. but i dont get your logic with the whole not moving alot idea asa gunner, i run alot as one, im a team leader fore my team and when i use saws im right there with them first man in covering as they squad moves up.
Sorry none of the aftermarket body parts will fit the star, except for a couple of parts listed on guarder's website. But those parts are already metal on the star. Check out and read all the pages on arnies airsoft for all the info on the star. There's a lot of crap to sort through but it's the only site with any information dealing with the Star directly.

from what I remember someone compared the feed tray and it's not possible because of the hinge area is completely different. Other parts are useable with some modifications. Like I said what's been tried has been listed on Arnies. G&P lower RIS does work but requires permanent modification.

Here is a review of a person who purchased a Star Para M249. This should answer most of your questions about the Star M249.
