Questions about JAC Gas airsoft Rifles
Those guns will hold up really well. They're pretty darn sturdy both inside and out. However do you know what type it is? JAC made almost all of their guns in 3 different versions: Standard (plastic outside and inside), DX (metal body plastic internals, which is what you most likely are talking about) and the rare Limited (which had metal bodies and steel/brass internals). As far as people working on them there arent really a whole lot of people "certified" to do work persay since classic guns are somewhat of a rarity now. However, you can check out www.classicairsoft.net for a motherlode of classic airsoft information and resources. Mostly though with the JAC guns the only thing you will really have to replace/repair on it (as long as you take care of it with lube, cleaning etc) are a few orings or maybe a screw or two, of which you can readily obtain at any local hardware store. Also, try looking for any Asahi brand guns that pique your interest, since those are pretty much the best in classic guns. Lemme know if you have any more questions, I'd be happy to answer them, or you can always check out the classic airsoft site i linked above. Hope this helped.

hey thanks a lot i will check out the site. I believe it is either the second or third type because it is full metal. i will ask the guy and see what he says.
You can try asking a guy who goes by SniperX for some more info as he know s more about classic guns, he's also on the classic airsoft site. His brother andrew does custom and repair work on the type of gun I have but Im not sure if he does work on JAC's and other guns that use the BV system. He actually lives right on the outskirts of LA i think. So if he could do any work for you that would make shipping and such a lot easier. Hell, I think you can actually go to the shop and talk to him directly and he can show you how to do some of the stuff yourself.
alright, i just acutally saw a post on classic airsoft by SniperX about some smurffyou kid it was funny.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, especially for all the upgrades it has. That subchamber is definitely gonna come in handy. And with the valve upgraded your gonna have a pretty powerful gun there. You do know that those guns require an external CO2 tank w/ regulator right? That could run you another 110 to 150 for the reg and a tank. Too bad this stuff has to be so expensive.
yeah i know that but actually this gun has a internal tank in the stock, and when you use a external it becomes a back up or second tank.
Sweet! Well, that tank in the stock should actually be the subchamber (I could be wrong) and it basically allows the gas from the external tank to expand before it comes out of the valve. It reduces the cool down effect you get from it staying in the gas tubing and alllows for a more consistent pressure, FPS, and ROF. It kind of gives the regulator a chance to recharge the gas line so you dont lose performance. Sounds like a nice catch to me.
o cool cool it is actually the plastic version but still has the internal upgrades
Plastic body or internals?
my apologies it has a plastic body
yeah i wish it was the metal body...dave are you saying the JAC is a DX model? and why do you laugh? is it a bad thing? i dont want to buy a shity ass jac gun.
no the laugh was you said its plastic, i said DX model becuase they are metal... find a DX model.. DX = good
Its alright though. Itll work fine. However you might wanna see if you can get a lower price for it. And check out the classified on classicairsoft as well, you can find some fairly good deals on there.
yeah im actually looking right now...there is a guy with a laundry list of guns.
Owning and playing with a classic is like working on and driving a 67' Vette, as compared to a modern car (whether it be a Kia or a Ford GT). For the most part you have to work on it yourself, often modify it (SCS/hop-up or lrb) to make it competitive and look for parts (AND MAGAZINES $$$) if they break.
