M24 SWS?
trying to decide between the tanaka m24 gas powered sniper rifle, and the tokyo marui mp5a5 high grade. i have 500 dollars and im trying to decide which to buy. i have no previous experience with sniping in a game, but i kno how to use one and such. heres the catch. the m24 is much more expensive than the mp5a5, and i need to buy some extra stuff that i NEED. i.e. p90 butt extender plate, sling. if i buy the mp5, i can get this stuff and deck out the mp5. if i buy a m24, i can maybe buy a scope and rings and POSSIBLY the sling and butt extender. wut do u guys think?
up to you bud, what do you really want the most?
dont u have to be at least 18 to be a sacairsot sniper?
All alone he turns to stone
ive been playing more than 6 months trust me. and i have decided on a m700. thanx for the support.
...seriously M24.... not just cause i dont like to see a lot of snipers, but i lent mike the kar this weekend for a game... ask him how much easier and more youd like an AEG than it. hehe
I say you go for the MP5A5.
Yea, Sniping as I learned yesterday, Is very so much harder then it looks, specially when its a stock rifle..

so long as you use 134a gas and we don't get complaints about shots up close...
thanx snoop. i appreciate it. if i prove myself to be a respectful and responsible sniper, may i please use green gas? :)
have to follow the rules...I'm lenient on these...some admins aren't
no prob...now drop like a log and give me 99999999999999999999999999 push ups!
What types of games are you going to be playing in the most. I would say the MP5A5 just becasue you can do so many things with the MP5. Plus you will not have to spend as much money
LoLz...well i have my mind set on an m700. but thanx for ur input guys!
that sucks... nieve, ask people thier opinion on the gun... look into the damn rifles. you will figure out it is not near the best of sniper rifles.. im not going to change your mind on sniping, you seem set, most ever tries it. just pick the best weapon.... M700 has low mag capacity, expensive mags, not as accurate as other, gas guzzler.... etc.....
yup, in a way thats why I had to sell my m700, just not accurate enough (variable gas pressures after shot...), gas was $$$ and 11 bbs a mag. I know the aps 2 I got cost a weee bit more but its going to be worth it in the long run.
yea that may be true....but i love the idea of the gun being already upgraded and the no bolt pull effort....the thing i hate about the APS-2 is that i always feel like im going to break it.....sure 10 bbs is small, but a snipers motto is "one shot, one kill".....not going to be doing any rapid shooting with it anyways....but once again, thanx for the input.
no acually i dont hate you cause your buying a sniper rifle... i hate your ignorance. if your trying to achieve the one shot onekill moto you will need accuracy, something the m700 cannot provide sufficently. Bolt pull is no biggy on the aps, you forget about it in combat. aps wont break unless you pull the bolt alone, if you put your thumb around the bolt and hold the bolt handle it will be fine... the m700 bolt and kar98k are wobbly, if you dont push it straight in it gets cought on the side. i know my kar98's bolt pull feels like shit compared to realsteel bolts.
My M700 is accurate... magic hands.
yea, for some reason jeffs m700 is omg accurate, must be that fully customize hop buckling  . Yea, dont expect one shot one kill with a m700 cause you wont get it. takes like 2-3 shots. At 100-140 feet its pretty good accuracy but after that its kinda... Thats why i went with an aps2. I wont have to worry about change in gas pressure every time i play, which means youll have to adjust your hop(not to hard) and your scope every time you play (again, use of more gas). On the good side, like you said, its already "upgraded" and for what you pay its an awesome gun... I taged on another $500 from my m700 to get a better sniper rifle. you should end up being please with it. Just get the SAS adapter and a silencer and it makes the gun a whole let nicer.
It took me a lot of shots to get it real dialed in. I do adjust the hop before each day of use. Usually put about a mag or two through it while getting set up to make sure things are well and good. And i do have the insane bucking situation... weird story. Before I put in my accurate barrel, I wasn't as happy with the accuracy, but after I put in the tight bore, I was happy.
yea, i actually went back to the M24 SWS on this one, cuz shawn said it would be a better choice for me. Apparently, it's going to have limited production just like the M700 and thus will increase in value. Also, it has something no other airsoft gun (that i have heard of at least) has. A P.C.S. (Power Control System). With HFC 134a, i can tune the FPS with .2gs from 360 fps, to 410 fps. Thats a good 50 fps difference, all without upgrades. HOPEFULLY, the m24 will have some better features like the accuracy issue i have heard a lot of people talking about with the M700. I'll write a review as soon as i get it from Airsoft Extreme. :)
