You have a legal place to play in the East Bay!!! Is this your private land? Sounds so good to me! Good luck. I organize airsoft events for fun, and if you'd like we can work up some regular OP's that you can host over and over.
Every day above ground is a good day.

sounds great! i can make it down there when i am in the bay area!
Oct 17, 2006 3:59am
Yea i'm thinking to model our rules on Sequoia Airsoft's so yea, it's our own private land and we will be hopeing lots of people will be coming if some can't make it to Sequoia Airsoft some weekends.

hmmm....well if its a pay place, idk, but a free place, i would be abl to get 16ppl together very easly.
Oct 17, 2006 4:27am
it's going to be a rather low cost admission, less than that of Sequoia Airsoft since we're smaller so....yep, keep those questions, comments, and ideas coming you guys. Thanks

if you charge..you'll need insurance. just a CYA. it's not like you're just inviting people who are your friends and can take responsibility for themselves. That's why all my hosted games are free.

5 acres is actually quite large.
Oct 17, 2006 4:38am
+1 good size most games are on feilds that are 2-3 acres i live on 5 acres so i know the size. THings to rmeebr. Youor your paretns will be held responsible for people if they PAY for your feild and get hurt. Insuarance is expensive u need if your gona have a paying feild cause when u get sued you dont wana loose your house. Make sure u alert PD that you will haveing games if your near roads and your nieghbors can see the feild. Keep alot in mind about this. But if u have already thought about this then good luck. Oh BTW have a lawyer type of a waiver for you.

Well if 5 acres is too big, then what would be an ideal size? We can size down the field if needed, it;s me and my parent's land anyway.

its not to big its perfect, we are just saying its not to small. Ummm the insuarce....u need i think its called extreme sports insuanrce cause airsoft is so extreme. It kinda the same as paintball BUT if u use paintball insuarce then all players on the feild need FULL FACE MASK and there is anotehr kinda im not ceratin what insurace it is but if u use no face mask just ANZI 7.1 eye protection is required.

ill tell you , the best field i haev ever been too , was modesto airsoft , they have lots of hollowed out rv's and trailers , and buses you can go in , and get inside and shoot out of , you could go to a junk yard , and find what you like , and make some trenches with sandbags and stuff , that is what drew me back agiain and again but i cant make it out vry often,

that sounds like a paintbball field to me, what type of gmaes are u wanting to host? speed ball? MILSLIM? standard attack defend?
Oct 17, 2006 5:11am
it's going to be a more of an airsoft field, i thought about making it an airsoft + paintball field but that means more insurance (i think), i'm planning on getting some OPs running, and then some 1 and 2 flag CTF, King of The Hill (Take the Base), and some others i might think of later

please dont make it paintball and airsoft, i know u would get more money, but i hate paintballers, they leave a mess and are anoying...and if u can possibly get ply wood and make miniture shelters out of them, so it would be more of a milsim. and not random shitt lined up.
you can pay for school but you cant buy class
Oct 17, 2006 5:18am
Ok for those styel games i would recomend bunkers on both ends of the feilds with mild ammounts of cover between, a road in the middle of the feild or something like that for convoy games. Dont use it for paintball it will be messed up with ummm well paint.
Oct 17, 2006 5:19am
thats what i was thinking, but i need to buy myself a better gun at the same time i'm building this field.

I mentioned it before, I organise games for fun, and would gladly work one on one with you to create some OP's that you can play over and over. Capture the flag is okay, but it get's old.

those seem good, i will take those into account in my build, but right now i need a better weapon...i don't think an MP7 will be good against full size AEGs

you dont need a big gun to be good. I used my g17 with 3 mags in woodland games and did just fine. An mp7 is an excellt gun, it has great range and fully auto capabitly. Plus it wont wiegh u down and it will make ua better player in the long run. I used my TM uzi over the weekend in a woodland game, it shoots in the low 200 fps range and i still got a sh it load of kills with it. I just snuck up on people VERY carefully. Me an Spence ambushed a lot of guy in one attack and we took them all out. What did u use? my uzi and its FPS is lower than a mp7. Point is you will be fine. Blaino was running around too that day with TM SOCOM pistol going up against Shrikes and getting kills so ya.

i guess....but i feel safer with a big gun in my hands, but i guess i'll save up....

Here are some ideas. This field is my old home field in SoCal. I used to play here every weekend. I know it is a desert field, but these things can be used in almost any environment where you have some dirt to work with.

What city/town are you located in? I'm part of a group of local East Bay Area airsofters called Alameda Airsoft. We'd be interested in coming to your place for a game.

If you're gonna charge you'll need insurance like ryan and muller said BUT, then you'll have a business. In which case you should incorporate it as an LLC so you can't loose you're house if you're sued. I'm not sure how the land would work though cuz it'd be used for use by the LLC but i'm sure a lawyer could figure it out so the business can't be sued for the land.

Whats with all the paintball haters? Yes, i admit that about 1/2 of the people i play with are assholes, but still, it doesnt tear stuff apart or anything. Stock up on paint, with the first batch of paintballers, youre gonna make a minimum of $200. you would need a fill station, and those are a total pain in the ass (more liability). but face it- there are probably more paintballers, and there willing to spend more money.
paintballer :(

no it's not that i hate paintball, i played it once and loved it 8) , but it's just that i'm in a small semi-agricultural spot so i need to be sure that what ever flies out of our property can be bio-degradeable
