Airsoft vs. Real steel: AR-15. +AR-15 Review
I just purchased my Bushmaster Carbon 15 rifle a few weeks ago and now that i've taken it out and zeroed it on my range I'm ready to give you all a full in depth review and a comparison betwen the real thing and airsoft.
I spent a lot of time on this review so please give me feedback!
feedback: well done review. very comprehensive with lots of pics and a video. bravo!
fantastic review. be calm, feedback will come. its a long article, people need time to read it.
great review, i loved all of the pics, as well as the video. you have lots of good things to say about the bushmaster, but are there any con's?

I'm looking for an AR-15 for paradise rod and gun club. THe bad thing is on the bushmasters is you have to open the top part of it to load it insted of having the magazines.
Honestly the only con is the sealed mag. But its not that bad. It really takes just a second to open up the receiver and the reload time is the same for any 10 round mag. Removable or not, you still have to individually hand load the mag. With the sealed magwell it really for target practice anyway so you don't really need mags. Using this for home defense would just be silly. It would make for a great small game rifle though.
Nice review Clark, good to see you're keeping busy. You said most other ARs are a waste of money, what about Rock River Arms? Don't they have civilian legal guns too? Maybe I'm wrong about the civ leagal part, but I know they are very well made weapons.
About the only thing I know about them is that they make "copycat" type m16 rifles not to mil spec, acording to some of the FFL dealer I spoke with. I think they may make one in CA legal condition but pretty much all the FFL dealers in CA carry the bushmaster due to reliability/legal issues with the other brands. I shopped around for a long time before making my purchase so trust me. Stick with Colt, Armalite, or Bushmaster.
Does the rifle have to remain longer than 30 inches?
woah!!! nice gun! it seems to look like the Carbon 15 has a Fiber body??? i know it probably cant withstand a shooting bullet...but, the body looks to be fiber made...but, let me know...

Um, if I understand you clearly Swatmonkey, no gun in the world can get shot by bullet and survive. If your talking about the ability to hold up under intese use then it can. Bushmaster makes all their rifles to meet or exceed military specifications. There are many types of carbon fiber out there. This just happens to be a stronger blend of herbs and spices.
NICE BRO :D
