Welcome to sacair! Try Arnie's airsoft they have all sorts of info. And as you can see most guys here do their own research. So you might try next time to say like, " where can I get some info on this such and such item?" Just my 2 cents.

thanks for your help, ive figured out that the G36 clips are the same as the M8/XM8 clips. the C-mags for the G36 will work with my gun (i have a Palco M8 from gander mountain) thanks!

+1 i hate that. clips are like on the good 'ol M1 Garand where the rounds arent contained, just held together by a piece. Mags completely contain the rounds.
And shephards we will be.

actually, the garand uses a stripper-clip, and its unique. A mag stay on/in the gun while its feeding or shooting, while a clip is used to push rounds into an internal mag, then tossed.

Yes the Garand uses Clips, or also known as an "en bloc". The Garand has a follower that pushes the round that are in the clip, so it is kind of a half internal magazine.
