I'd think TM would want to jump on it. Mostly plastic with large pieces means less molds needed. Simpler to make = quicker to market and lower price!!!
The VFC AKS74U was superbly finished and done. Their pictures of the 416D was absolutely gorgeous even the detail in the gas piston was well done. With that said I seriously doubt the SCAR will be any different. The only question is on the quality of their internals. Remember VFC is actually selling these as AEG's not kits.
