AEX Gun Problem
I sent in my g36 to AEX oakland for them to fix my hop up and "tune up" the internals (lube and whatnot). The guy calls me and says that after he fixed the gun, it is shooting about 280-290 now. It was chronoed at about 320 before. He says that everybody was trying to fix this problem, but nobody could figure out what the hell was causing it. If I really wanted it fixed, he said i could pay to get new internals...
Was it a CA?

Yeah ive heard that before. Do u recommend new parts?
Christ sounds like we live ina one horse !@#!@@ town when a store can break stuff and charge you for it. Is this what its like in a town with one auto mechanic? for the love of god we need some compatition around here or they will continue to operate on the premise that we are stuck with them. I wont be giving them my money I woud rather break the shit myself then pay them to break it. That is awfull man, if they cant work on it without screwing stuff up they should refuse to service it or at least let you know. If they take it for servicing and say they are 'professionals' then they should fix there mistakes, as professionals do. Instead they sell you it then take it in to service and THEN you find this out... what a scam. SCAM. Any other business this is a scam, its just there monopoly that makes them think they can do this crap. As a matter of fact, if you bought the AEG there and they are pulling this I think it may be illegal. If I were you I would ask an attorney. I don't think a place can sell you something, say they can service it professionaly, then charge you just 'because'.
What would Brock do?
That happened to my CA, then I put in a new cylinder, and it worked great.

i wouldnt go as far as to calling CA inferior. im not trying to argue with the expert, but that CA has worked very well for me.. until now. Im planning on swapping the internals. What do I need?
Piston head O ring, cylinder head, nozzle, & bore barrel... + new spring.
I dont think an attorney is going to help the guy who bought an inferior product to begin with.
What would Brock do?

if it was fine before you had them fix it than you should not have to pay for fixing what they messed up :?
thats what I am saying, but the fan boys have all those pictures and stuff... hard to argue with the president giving you the bird

CA's screw up,its just a matter of time before they do.......
"If you had 4 fingers you'd draw a screwed up turkey"
My wife and i have been laughing our heads off. That Bush mod is frekin' hilarious!!!
AEX Sac just fixed my son's CA G36 and it was just fine, until the same type of thing happened to us. It's Classic Army, not AEX! It has to be, because our TM G36 never has problems and is used and cared for with the same approximate hours on it as our CA.
I think they are nice guys trying to run an honest business, that doesnt change the situation in question. I am sure they have done right by you, they have been ok to really nice for me to (one really weird guy that was kinda agro, but I'll throw that out as an aberation). For this fellow things didnt go so well it seems. This guy does seem to have a grip and I hope it is resolved so everyones happy. Maybe ask them for a discount or something? lost 30fps=$30 discount? Sounds fair to me.
What would Brock do?
Yes..I understand the frustration. At one point, I wanted to just sell all of our gear and go with another hobby (my old hobby of mountaineering), but I realized that there are hardly any people up there to shoot at when in the mood for airsoft:P :D

I'm not a big fan of AEX but if they just touched the hopup and you lost 30FPS, then its highly doubtful they hosed anything, my buddy had the same problem with his 36, most likely the hopup ruber needs to be re-seated in the housing thats all, even the slightest airgap increase between the nozzle and bucking will hose major FPS no big deal.
Look its a bird its a plane, no its just my broken aeg flying all over the place.
If Classic Army is such a bad product maybe AEX shouldnt sell it...Just a thought. A company should not sell a product then blame the product when it is failed to be fixed. As happy as I am with the Sac AEX and its employees, (covering my ASS, LOL )I would be upset if this happend to me....Thats like buying a Hyundai from the dealership which runs fine, you take it for a oil change and the engine loses compression. When you ask the dealership what happend they say "Dont by a crappy Hyundai" Reradless what make/model unless there is a sign that does not guarantee work, Oakland AEX should get your gun back to the point it was when it was brought in...
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?
Yeah so? This guy got scammed and I do believe they are honest guys trying to run things fair. But whats fair from 2 peoples points of view is usualy a little different. Ask yourself this, if it was some guy that had an add out online to do work on AEG's and it came back shooting 20fps less would that be ok? Could the guy be honest? He might be, but its still not right. If you dont look out for your own even the nicest people will walk all over you.
