I need help with m120 spring

Apr 6, 2004 5:32pm
I just installed an m120 spring in my CA M15A4. I can go semi auto and full auto but after i go full auto, it seems as tho the motor has trouble pulling the spring. It kind of twitches like theres not enough power. I'm using a 9.6v 1100 mah battery. And i can't figure out whats wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx!

I'm not sure exactly why it is doing that, but I do know that when installing that big of a spring you should also have installed a metal spring guide. I could be that the spring is getting tweaked at some point, and that is why it is not functioning properly.

ok first off charge your battery back up, then try it again, if that doesnt work then darkcobra is right youll need a new battery or just get a bigger mAh rated battery, like a 9.6 1500+ nimh is cool, but i believe they are a bit more than the nicads ( not too sure tho )

I had a similar problem with my M4, it had a PDI 170% Spring in it with a Systema FTK, I stopped using the mini batterys, and moved onto a 8.4v 2100, Sanyo worked perfect.

a majority of the time, the batts they use for nimh are hella weak, their discharge rates range from 5 -15 amps, and its not steady wither.

I would get the battery from Gonzo Batteries.
