I have kinda a noob question cause im wanting to get a vest that i can have what puches i want on there.....but what confuses me is the vests that are plate carriers....do they actually have like plates in them??? if so why?
I believe that most do not have plates that come with them, you can put them in seperatly if you so desire. You can buy some fake ones and put them in there for the realism factor i guess.

The plates are for milsim and looks. Another reason I have seen ppl use the plates are that it helps give your plate carrier more structure and helps it fill out better.
